(this information relates to online lessons hosted by The Sicilian Pantry. For lessons hosted by 3rd parties, please check their websites for relevant information)

How do the online lessons work?

Lessons will take place using Zoom, so you will need a Zoom account which you can get here (it’s free). We recommend testing out Zoom with friends before the lesson if you haven’t used it before.

You will receive the zoom meeting invitation and sign in details several hours before the lesson begins.  It’s a good idea to sign in about 10 minutes before the lesson starts and make sure all your equipment is working.

What time does the lesson start?

Check your time zone! Lessons are listed in Central European Time, some other time zones may also be indicated, but double check the time for your own time zone to make sure you don’t miss out or are unfashionably early!

Sicilian Pantry online lessons normally take place 2 or more times in the same day, so choose the time that works best for you in your timezone.

What Ingredients or equipment are needed?

After you book a lesson you will receive a complete ingredient and equipment list so that you can be well prepared to cook along.

Will I be able to ask questions during the lesson?

During the lesson you will be able to ask questions, in fact, we encourage you to ask questions! We want these online lessons to be as fun and social as they are in-person.

Is there anything else included?

After booking, along with the equipment list, you will receive a printable PDF version of the recipe. On the day after the lesson, you will get a link to a Zoom page where you can watch or download a recording of the lesson. These recordings will be available for 5 days.

Can I get a lesson as a gift for someone else?

Gifting a lesson is no problem (and a great idea!), just let us know the email address of who you want to gift the lesson to in the additional info box at the checkout.

Can I get a refund if I can’t make the lesson?

Tickets for online lessons are non-refundable, however, if you can’t make the lesson for some reason, you will receive a link to watch and download a recording of the lesson.

How many users can access a lesson at one time?

For Sicilian Pantry lessons, the maximum amount of users is 15, this is to try and keep the experience as intimate as possible and 15 is a number that works very well. For private events, you can specify the amount of people you want to invite and we will try to accomodate it.

What about people with dietary restrictions?

If you have any specific dietary requirements, let us know in the additional info box at the checkout and we can suggest changes to make a recipe suitable for you.
